Before COVID…

I was a verily happy person, living my life within my community, enjoying activities with my family and friends. I was doing okay. I thought the health institutions and government agencies were there as a safeguard to protect us. Well, it turns out they were not, as experienced during the COVID years .

When COVID came along, I was not prepared.  I was SHOCKED by the lies and coverups by the media and government, the censoring and labeling of those who chose not to get the vaccine as “anti vaxxers, misogynists and should they be tolerated” as proclaimed by our own PM. Luckily, I joined a group of women who questioned what was going on and shared information.

How ABSURD everything was… to  walk on painted footprints on floors, washing groceries, wearing masks everywhere, showing vaccine passports which gave you entry into restaurants, public facilities and modes of transportation which were supposed to be protected in our Charter of Rights.  Everyone had to get the experimental vaccine or lose their job. And more ABHORRENT was letting loved ones die alone in long term care or hospitals. Children were the next vulnerable group who were targeted. They were not allowed to go to school, and when open, had to wear masks and were coerced into getting the vaccine which they didn’t need. What happened to our humanity?  in the face of a virus, a cold virus that there is no cure for, except for our own immune system? And finally, the vaccine caused more damage than covid as evidenced by the millions of adverse effects collected around the globe.

My son is one of them. The spike protein settled in his kidneys and caused damage.

Now, after COVID, I think there are positive takeaways in my life. I have made new friends who also have awakened to how our government is overreaching. I discovered I do have a voice and am not afraid to use it. In addition, because of COVID, I learned about how to improve our immune system and am living a healthier life.

I do have a strong belief in people and how we can work well together to improve things, but I saw how fear, hyped up by the media and governments, made people stop thinking and move in a pack mentality which opened the door to name calling and hatred.

I hope we have learned through our collective mistakes and will use more critical thinking in the future so we will never experience this horrific time again.
